Tomorrow I set off on a road trip taking me through parts of Oregon, California, Arizona and New Mexico before dropping down into my destination, the town of Bonham in northern Texas. Once on the mainland I will spend a couple of nights in Washington State visiting with old friends before my girlfriend CJ and I (plus three dogs and a lot of luggage ????) head south on I5. The map below shows our planned route through California, which may change depending on the fire situation in LA country and the surrounding areas. Plans en route are to enjoy the magnificent natural beauty of Oregon and California, visit Joshua Tree National Park, the south rim of the Grand Canyon and the vibrant artists community of Santa Fe. Bonham will be my base for the balance of the spring, the focus training my field dogs with another group of Canadians, doing a bit of traveling to connect with other dog people and a childhood friend – as well as just enjoying the respite from the PNW winter. I will be blogging as I travel and have packed all my cameras. I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
